Ranchi's Smart City programme has entered its next construction phase, with fresh central funding released this week. The plan focuses on green boulevards along Main Road, dedicated cycle lanes, and rejuvenated public plazas at Albert Ekka Chowk and Firayalal. Officials say the work will run in parallel with drainage upgrades to reduce monsoon flooding. Contractors expect the first stretch to be visible by year-end.
